A-bag revives old bags.
A-bag is the name of the new line of bags from marsupium,
manufactured out of car-airbags.
Every bag is a one-off, provided with the airbag's origin and a reference number.
The different shapes and seams of each airbag lead to an unconventional
and distinctive design.
The overall image of the bags is created by careful attention to detail,
regarding seams, trimming materials and prints.
The material (polyamide 6.6) is extremly strong, water- and soil repellent,
as well as resistant against moths, mold, mildew and seawater.
Every model of the collection is named after the original position of the
airbag in the car. That way the bag "driver" is made with the airbag in the
steering wheel, the "inflatable curtain" with the long side airbag which runs
like a curtain between the A-and the C-pillar.
A-bag turns functionality, technique and fashion into one unique entity.
